Access to Justice Legal Aid Program

The program aims to promote justice by providing legal representation, counseling, and education, ensuring that individuals, particularly those from marginalized communities, can effectively access their rights within the justice system.

  MAIN OBJECTIVES    

1. Promote Child Protection: To safeguard the rights and welfare of children by addressing cases of abuse, neglect, and exploitation, ensuring their best interests are upheld in legal and social systems.

2. Ensure Access to Legal Representation:
To provide affordable legal aid to individuals facing criminal cases such as assault, defilement, and rape, as well as civil matters, such as succession and inheritance disputes.

3. Uphold Human Rights: To advocate for and protect fundamental human rights, especially for vulnerable groups, ensuring fairness, dignity, and equality before the law.

4. Enhance Legal Awareness and Education:
To educate the public about their legal rights and responsibilities, empowering them to seek justice and participate effectively in the legal process.

5. Support Justice System Accountability:
To work with stakeholders to strengthen the justice system by promoting accountability, transparency, and efficiency in handling legal matters.

 

HOW WE DO IT

1. Awareness and Campaign

2. Legal Aid Services
•We provide affordable or free legal representation and advisory services to those in need. Our services cover criminal cases such as assault, defilement, and rape, as well as civil matters like succession disputes. This ensures that justice is accessible to all, regardless of their socioeconomic status.

3. Advocacy
•We champion policy and systemic changes to promote justice and equality. By engaging with policymakers, judicial bodies, and other stakeholders, we advocate for stronger legal frameworks and practices that uphold human rights and child protection.

4. Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Mechanisms
